Clock Tower Images leads photo tours to many exciting locations worldwide.*

Our photo tours are designed from the ground up for people who want to see and photograph spectacular locations and amazing wildlife.  Each tour is led by a professional nature and wildlife photographer working with local professional guides. We take great satisfaction in sourcing outstanding locations, great accommodation and memorable meals. During rest times we offer photo critiques and individualized instruction (as requested). 

Many of our tour members are novice photographers -- we provide all the support and instruction you need to capture great images!

Madagascar: June 7-24, 2014

Madagascar is an island in the Indian Ocean, about 400km’s from the Southern African east coast. It is the place where evolution has run wild and it has such a high degree of endemism, that it is truly a place like nowhere else on earth! 

Madagascar is famous for its remarkable selection of lemurs, primitive primate’s endemic to the island,  brilliantly coloured chameleons and lizards, tenrecs, fossas, bats and rodents. Several early evening walks will allow us to experience the “darker” side of the nocturnal creatures  -  first hand!

Endless photographic possibilities abound at our Wilderness Retreat in Kyuquot Sound.  Our explorations are based in a sheltered bay with rugged cobblestone beaches, tide pools, towering sea stacks, and enchanting old growth forest trails just steps away from your tent. 

Travelling to Spring Island is part of the adventure, starting with a drive from Courtenay to Gold River, then a day-long cruise on the MV Uchuck III from Gold River to Kyuquot.  We'll return to Gold River four days later on a scenic flight  with Air Nootka! 

We will photograph sea otters, eagles, oyster catchers and many other marine mammals and birds, while also watching for black bears, wolves and other animals common to the area.  Landscape opportunities abound!  Our August time slot offers earlier sunset opportunities and excellent night sky photography.

The realm of the spirit bear: Aug 30-Sep 7, 2014

Our spirit bear tour is a fantastic opportunity to spend an unforgettable week in the Great Bear Rainforest, photographing Kermodes during the annual salmon run—as they fish, eat and “play.” Along the quiet paths we may also see brown (grizzly) bears, “normal” black bears, and wolves. Travelling by small boat along wilderness waterways we have many opportunities to photograph marine mammals and birds, including humpback whales, orcas, otters, harlequin ducks, ospreys and bald eagles.

Namibia WILDLIFE: Oct 24-Nov 5, 2014

Experience the spectacular wildlife of Namibia!  Acclimitize to Namibia's warmth and tranquility with two nights at spectacular Erindi Game Reserve where great photos can be captured from your deck chair in front of the lodge!  Then enjoy 5 nights in Etosha National Park, viewing its amazing water holes and abundant wildlife (elephant, lion, wildebeest, zebra, kudu and so much more). This is a trip with a difference. For two days we explore Chobe National Park by land and water.  Each morning begins with a game drive and each afternoon includes a boat tour.   We are sure to enjoy large numbers of animals along the river, including: puku, lion, giraffe, bushbuck, hyenas, and many, many others!  From Chobe we fly to the Okanvango Delta for four days of fabulous exploration.  The channels, lagoons and islands support a wealth of flora and fauna.  Then we head to Victoria Falls, one of the most impressive natural wonders of the world. Namibia draws its name from the Namib Desert, a unique geological feature renowned for the unusual and haunting quality of it's landscape, which features a fascinating variety of desert-adapted plants and animals.  This tour visits some of Namibia's most remarkable landscapes and fabulous wildlife reserves.  Starting at the capital city of Windhoek, we travel south to Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world.  We then move east to photograph "sandscapes" within a ghost town near Luderitz.  The tour continues with stops at Sossusvlei (for the world famous dunes) and three days exploring Namibia's Skeleton Coast, before concluding with three days at Erindi, Africa's largest private game reserve.

Zamibia, Botswana & Namibia, all in one great tour!  The tour begins at Livingstone, Zambia and we spend two days exploring the Zambia side of the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls from the luxury of platinum status, award-winning Camp Nkwazi.  From Victoria Falls we drive to Chobe National Park in Botswana where we spend four days exploring the park by jeep and boat.  Our next stop is Mamili National Park, a wild and remote place in Namibia's eastern Caprivi Strip.  The tour continues with stops at Mahango National Park and Roy's Camp (a great cultural experience -- we visit a Bushman village and take a walking tour with local Bushmen.  The tour concludes with 5 days in Etosha National Park and two days at Okonjima Private Game Reserve (home to the AfriCat Foundation).
